Memphis - Funeral services were conducted Tuesday, September 5th, at Memphis Funeral Home for Mrs. Louise Brooks, age 79, widow of Rea L. Brooks, Sr. Burial was at Memphis Memorial Cemetery in Memphis.
Mrs. Brooks died Saturday, September 2, 1978, at Rest Haven Nursing Home following a lingering illness. She leaves one son, Rea L. Brooks, Jr.; two grandsons, Edward Brooks and Bradley Brooks of Dallas, TX; and one brother, Joe C. Holbrook of Dresden.
Living in this vicinity are a brother-in-law, Mr. Rupert Brooks; two nephews, Mr. Bill Brooks and Mr. Tom Brooks, all of Dresden; and a niece, Mrs. Larry Hazelwood of Martin.
Mrs. Brooks will be remembered as Louise Holbrook, whose late father was Joe L. Holbrook, who was editor and owner of the Dresden Enterprise for nearly fifty years.
