Mrs. Sybil Deal Billings, age 92, widow of Percy Von Billings, of North Wilkesboro, passed away Tuesday morning, September 16, 2014 at Wilkes Senior Village.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Thursday, September 18, 2014 at Reins-Sturdivant Chapel with the Rev. Jim Gore, Rev. Roger Jennings and Rev. Steve Shumate officiating. Burial will be in Mountlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive Wednesday, September 17, 2014 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home.
Mrs. Billings was born December 29, 1921 in Wilkes County to Hobert Deal and Oma Elledge. Mrs. Billings retired from Carolina Mirror where she worked in the Framing Department and she was a member of Hinshaw Street Baptist Church.
Mrs. Billings was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Percy Von Billings; one brother, T. H. Deal and one sister, Eleanor Brooks Severt.
Mrs. Billings is survived by one son, David Billings and wife, Darlene of Roaring River; one granddaughter, Amy Billings Whitley and husband David of Salisbury; one Grandson, Ethan Billings of Roaring River; three great grandchildren, Brittany Anderson, Maggie Whitley and Eli Whitley.
