Mrs. Baker was born Oct. 8, 1915, and was the daughter of the late Casper Jackson and Rebecca Crider Spitzer.
She lived in the Melrose community all of her life and was educated in Linville. She was a homemaker and of the Brethren faith.
In 1936, she married Maxwell Baker Sr., who died Sept. 15, 1974.
She was the last surviving member of her immediate family and is survived by five children, seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Pastor Cindy Carr will conduct a graveside service at 11 a.m. Friday at the Lacey Spring Cemetery
