Anton (Tony) Pfeifer, 72, 509 E. 14th, died Monday, Oct. 17, at Wichita.

Pfeifer was a retired wholesale liquor dealer.

He was born at Victoria on Oct. 13, 1905, the son of Adam J. and Clara Bollig Pfeifer.

Survivors are his wife, the former Regina Beilman, of the home; three sons, Anthony, Victoria, and Norman and Kenneth, both of Hays; four daughters, Mrs. Hillary (Agnes) Schumacher, Hays, Mrs. Edwin (Mary) Geist, Phoenix, Mrs. Wesley (Harriet) Nicholson, Topeka, and Mrs. Gary (Betty Lou) Rife, Denver; two brothers, Peter, Hays, and Adam, Columbus, Ga.; six sisters, Mrs. Anna Marie Dreiling, Denver, Mrs. Maggie Klaus, Russell, Mrs. Dina Zimmerman, Hays, Mrs. Emma Pfeifer, Wichita, Mrs. Theresa Buzukos, Wichita, and Mrs. Barbara Brohman, Kansas City, Mo.; 18 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Services 10 a.m. Thursday, Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church; the St. Joseph Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 until 9 p.m. Tuesday and from one until 9 p.m. Wednesday at Brock’s followed at 8 p.m. by parish wake services.
