Funeral services for James Albert Carroll were held at the Peterson Funeral home in Starbuck. Rev. Sheldahl of the West Moe church officiated. Interment was in the Fron cemetery at Starbuck. Pallbearers were: Conrad Botner, Chas. Peterson, Ralph Angen, Conrad Hanson, Oluf Fjoslien and Edwin Severson.
James Albert Carroll was born Nov. 3, 1881 at Macon, Mo., the son of Mr. and Mrs. James and Anna Smith Carroll. He was baptized and confirmed in the Immaculate Conception church. He was married to Frances Bartholomew at Mohall, N.D., on March 2, 1910.
Mr. Carroll died at his home in Brandon on May 31, 1966. Survivors include his wife, Frances, and one son, Leslie. Also surviving is one sister, Mrs. Ella Tipton of Macon, Mo. He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, three sisters, and one son, Lee.
