Erous Yvonne Elliott, 89, longtime Texhoma, Texas resident, passed away Saturday morning, September 13, 2014 at Vivian’s Nursing Home in Amarillo, Texas.

The daughter of Lee Augustus and Erous Joan (Johnson) Berry, she was born January 8, 1925 in Brownfield, Texas. Yvonne grew up being a model in New Jersey. She was always confident in her dress attire, having everything match from head to toe.

Yvonne was united in marriage to Oscar Raymond Elliott on March 9, 1952 in Clayton, New Mexico. She was a homemaker and member of the Texhoma First Baptist Church. She was very intelligent and a great reader even at the age of 89 years. She loved activities at Vivian’s Nursing Home and enjoyed the staff and workers she encountered. She loved getting together with her son Randall watching movies and The Waltons.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of over fifty years, Oscar Raymond Elliott on December 8, 2005; brother, Douglas Berry and grandson, Sammy Shilling.

Survivors include three daughters: Donna Boyd of Oklahoma City, Kathleen Ann Shilling of Elkhart, Kansas and Geina Lea Cornelius and husband, John of Lubbock, Texas; two sons, Raymond Wayne Elliott and wife, Sherry of Havlin, Kansas and Randall Elliott of Amarillo, Texas. Survivors also include one sister, Marlene Overstreet of Fort Worth, Texas; two brothers: Larry Berry of Texhoma, Texas, and George David Berry of Weatherford, Texas; 24 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday afternoon, September 17th at 1:00 p.m. at the Bunch – Roberts Chapel with Rev. Tommy Hull, pastor of the Texhoma First Baptist Church officiating. Interment will follow in the Texhoma Cemetery, Texhoma, Texas.

The Elliott family request memorials be given to Vivian’s Nursing Home. Memorials will be accepted at the Bunch – Roberts Funeral Home, P.O. Box 1112, Guymon, Oklahoma 73942
