The Sarah Baker farmhouse was built on the west edge of the infant town of Cridersville, Ohio in the 1860's. In 1880, when this lithograph was made, Mrs Baker, a widow, ran a modern and prosperous farm. Her house was noted for its double rear porch and iron fence surrounding it.

After her death, it became home for many years to Edward Stepleton and his family. In 1948, Walter Bayliff purchased the home and remodeled it into the Bayliff Funeral Home.

Sarah is my Great Great Grandfather,John Delong's sister.
