VIRGIL HALTERMAN, THRESHER AND SAW MILL OPERATOR, DIES
Virgil Halterman, 64, farmer and veteran threshing machine and sawmill operator, died suddenly yesterday afternoon while working at the home of a neighbor in Excello.
Born in Randolph County, he had lived in Excello the past 39 years and had operated for many years over a wide area with his threshing crew.
Mr. Halterman is survived by his wife; a daughter, Mrs. Frank Allen, Caledonia, Ill.; three sons, Paul Halterman, Moberly, Frank Halterman, Chicago and Floyd Halterman, CMM, USN, San Diego, Cal.; two brothers, George and Ed Halterman, Cairo; four sisters, Mrs. Paul Casey, Shattuck, Okla., Mrs. Lena Halliburton, Farr, Tex., and Mrs. Ida Way and Mrs. Lulu Bond, Moberly; and seven grandchildren.
The body is at the home. Funeral arrangements have not yet been completed.
