Charlotte Alice Tubb Lembke, age 97, resident of Lakewood Ranch, Florida, formerly of Ponca City, passed away September 8, 2014 at her home.

A visitation will be held from 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm Thursday, September 11, 2014.

Graveside funeral services will be held at 10:00 am, Friday, September 12, 2014 at the Resthaven Memorial Park in Ponca City with Reverend Mike Smith officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Trout Funeral Home & Crematory.

Charlotte was born on January 15, 1917 to George Tubb and Dorothy Michel Tubb in Canadian, Texas.

She graduated from Canadian High School and received her B.S. in Music from West Texas State College.

Charlotte began her teaching career in Portales, New Mexico, where she met a young biology teacher.

When WWII began, that young man, Robert L. (Bob) Lembke, joined the U.S. Navy and sent Charlotte a telegram saying "Come to Miami, FL, and be my bride". They married on November 2, 1942.

When the war ended, they moved back to Oklahoma so Bob could attend O.U. School of Medicine. During that time, the couple had two children, Robert and Ann.

The family then moved to Pryor, Oklahoma, where Bob started his medical practice. While there, another child, Sue, was born.

In 1960, they moved their family to Ponca City, Oklahoma, where Bob became an M.D. for Conoco Oil Company.

While in Ponca, Charlotte became very involved.
Through the years, she served as an officer for many different organizations: Chapter EL of P.E.O, the 4 O'clock Garden Club, Ponca City Art Association, Wall St. Ladies Investment Group, and the Marland Mansion Commission.

Charlotte was a member of First United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her son, Robert G. Lembke, of Parker, Colorado; daughters, Ann Geer and husband, Alan of Lakewood Ranch, Florida, and Sue Helton and husband David of Lakewood Ranch, Florida;

grandchildren: Jason Beaubien of Oklahoma City, Shane Lembke of Parker, Colorado, Heather Lembke of Parker, Colorado, Spencer Helton of Leadville, Colorado, Blake Helton of Boulder, Colorado, Matt Geer and wife, Sara of Allentown, Pennsylvania, Lisa Dorn and husband Jesse of Allentown, Pennsylvania,

great grandchildren: Mason Geer and Emily Dorn. Charlotte also held a special place in her heart for Kathy Lembke and Jackie Keathly, who cared for and loved her like family.

Preceding her in death, were her parents, George and Dorothy Tubb, husband Robert L. Lembke, and brother, George Earl Tubb.
