John Throneberry
John J. Throneberry, 86, of Route 7, died March 2, 1996, at Jefferson Medical Center.
Born September 4, 1909, in Lincoln County, he was a son of the late J. Willis Throneberry and Lillie (White) Throneberry.
He was a member of Butler Baptist Church in Lincoln County.
He worked as a freight receiver for Cotton Belt.
Survivors include a son, Larmar Throneberry, of Orlando, Florida; five daughters, Frances Yarbrough of Dallas, Katheryn Hoover, of Chattanooga, Tennessee, Betty Jhyn Sparr of North Little Rock, Linda Holland of Pine Bluff, and Brenda Conner, of Rison; a brother, Wilbur Throneberry of Star City; two sisters, Ruby Clary of Star City, and Ira Burr of Fallbrook, California; 11 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
Graveside services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Tuesday at Butler Cemetery in Lincoln County.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Hale-South Funeral Home.
