She was survived by include two daughters, Nancy (Daniel) Flory and Carol (Tremon) Ellegood, nine grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Ruth was preceded in death by one granddaughter and two brothers.
Ruth was educated in Pleasant Plains schools and was a graduate of Illinois Wesleyan University, Bloomington.
She was a homemaker and was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Pontiac.
