Carol A. Norman, 71, of Princeville passed away Friday, Aug. 29, 2014, at Heartland Health Care Center in Peoria.

She was born on April 15, 1943, in Modena, Ill., the daughter of the late James and Mildred Scott Traphagan. She married Robert Norman on March 13, 1971. He passed away in November of 1983.

Surviving are one son, Scott (Julie) Norman of Galva; and one brother, Floyd (Zola) Traphagan of Dahinda; and her best friend, Chris Larison of Coconut Creek, Fla.

One brother, James "Hogan," and her stepfather, Russell Wolland, preceded her in death.

Carol was a lifelong resident of the Princeville area, where she spent most of her life as a homemaker. She was a Cub Scout den mother and, later in her life, Carol was employed for several years with Pearl Insurance in Peoria.

Cremation rites have been accorded, with a private graveside service at Swan Lake Memory Gardens in Peoria.
