Joseph Ramsey dies after lengthy illness
Joseph Eugene Ramsey, age 88, of Jonesboro, died Sunday, September 27,1992, in the Jackson Parish Hospital in Jonesboro, after a lengthy illness.
Funeral services were held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, September 29, in the Buck Edmonds Memorial Chapel in Jonesboro, Rev. David Lloyd conducted the services.
Burial was in the Ebenezer Cemetery under the direction of Edmonds Funeral Home of Jonesboro.
Mr. Ramsey was a native of Jonesboro. He was a retired taxi driver.
Survivors include one son, Lonnie Ramsey of Chatham; two daughters, Mrs. Doris Thomas of Jonesboro and Mrs. Dorothy Harmon of Chatham; eight grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Dale McMillan, Bobby Caskey, Robert Torrez, Henry (Buddy) Ramsey, Steve Desidere, Jesse Waggoner and Tony Truelove.
