Margaret Ann Carter Williams, age 75, of Wilmington passed away peacefully Wednesday, September 3, 2014 at her home. She was born June 25, 1939 in Duplin County, North Carolina the daughter of the late Frank Carter and Annie Beasley Carter. She is preceded in death by five siblings and her loving husband, Jeffrey Dale Williams, Sr. Margaret enjoyed a thirty year career as a real estate agent in Wilmington with companies such as Harold Parker Realty and Bland and Associate Realty. She and a partner started one of the first ERA franchises in Wilmington, Pioneer Real Estate. Following her retirement she found enjoyment in catering the open houses for the various mortgage companies and listening to Elvis Presley Gospel music. Surviving are her three sons, Ricky Williams and wife Jennifer of Wilmington, Kent Williams and wife Randolyn of Wilmington and Jeffrey Williams Jr. and wife Donna of Charlotte; two daughters, Donna Williams Bradley of Wilmington and Connie Williams of Wilmington; four brothers, JC Carter (Kirleen), Walter Carter, Graham Carter (Carliss) and Ernest Carter; two sisters, Mandy Jane Ellis and Sally Boone (Bobbie); twelve grandchildren, Jonathan, Jami, Nathan, Ashley, Marissa, Kolby, Kayla, Alison, Kyle, Hunter, Forrest and Jade; four great-grandchildren, Violette, Everett, Zena and Jaxon; and numerous nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, September 8, 2014 South Side Baptist Church, 3320 S. College Road, Wilmington, NC 28412. A private graveside will be held at Oleander Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
