lists her obit. and says she is buried in Oakridge.
She was born in Calhoun County, GA on March 29, 1846, and married J. M. Garrett in 1866. Her children are listed as Mrs. M. P.(Lula?) Brownlee, son J. N. Garrett who owned a bakery in Tifton, J. J. Garrett of St. Petersbur, FL , Mrs. F. M. Bishop of Atlanta, Mrs. B. F. Smith of Albany and Mrs. P. B Newcomer of Zion City, Ill.

Mrs. Elizabeth Garrett has a pension application on line under Doughtery County in the GA Archives. She says she married James M. Garrett Jan 6, 1865, near Morgan in Calhoun County. She says he enlisted and served with Company C of the 25th GA regiment. The witness was W. M. Arnold of Terrell County from the same unit. He said James M. Garrett was a prisoner of War from 1863-1865 at Rock Island Illinois prison. Mrs. Garrett gives her husband's death as Jan 1899 in Tifton, GA. Proof of her own death on Jan 13, 1914 in Albany, GA is also included. Her daughter, Mrs. B. F. Smith, applied for the remaining $60 of her pension to be used for burial expenses.

Details: There are three adult size slabs in the Garrett plot with no inscription. I assume that two of them are William and Elizabeth Garrett.
