Mr. Wallace J. Quick died Tuesday Morning, August 4, following a long illness. Mr. Quick was born in Ithaca, N.Y. July 8, 1917. His professional career spanned 50 years. He was a graduate Chemical Engineer from Clarkson University in Potsdam, N.Y. Following a 25 year career with Eastman Kodak Company in Chicago, Illinois and Rochester, N.Y. marketing bulk vitamins, emulsifiers and laboratory chemicals to the pharmaceutical, food and feed manufacturers. Mr. Quick formed his own consulting firm in Chicago. His company focused on new product development for large manufacturing clients in the pharmaceutical, foods and feed industries. In 1980, Mr. Quick moved to Winter Haven. He was affiliated with Gene Engle Realtor and Gilman Realty in Lakeland in sales of residential and commercial properties. Mr. Quick was a member of the Institute of Food Technologists, American Oil Chemists Society, Chicago Drug and Chemical Association, and the American Chemical Society. He was a member of the Chicago Yacht Club, Lake Region Yacht & Country Club, and founder and President of the Auburndale Sertoma Club. He is survived by his wife, Monique P. Quick; brother, Robert L. Quick of Winter Haven, Florida; and daughters, Karen J. Wilson, Kirkland, Washington; Cynthia J. Quick, Chicago, Illinois; and Christine da Silva Ramos, Biarritz, France. Burial services and the internment will be at East Lawn Cemetery in Ithaca, New York at a future date. In Lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association or the American Lung Association. Arrangements are being handled in Winter Haven by Crisp-Coon Funeral Homes, Inc. and in Ithaca by E. C. Wagner Funeral Homes..
