He was a machine operator for Central Moloney and was member of New Morning Star Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Vernestine Shelton Aytch; a son, Eddie Hasan of St. Louis; four daughters, Eloise Mallett of Grandview, Missouri, Louise Tubbs and Earnestine Poole, both of Marino Valley, California, and Betty Lamarr of South Africa; 50 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and 20 great-great-grandchildren.
