Mary is the daughter of Evert & Aaltje "Ella" Mulder (Van't Einde) Hoeven.

Mary married Conrad P. De Jong on April 26, 1899 in Hospers, Iowa.

Conrad and Mary are the parents of six children:

~Edythe Pearline b. April 19, 1900 d. November 7, 1969

~Edwin Alden b. February 8, 1904 d. June 24, 1976

~Phyllis Harriet b. December 11, 1907 d. January 29, 1999

~Eileen Hazel b. September 2, 1914 d. August 22, 2000

MRS. MARY DE JONG

Funeral services were held March 2, 1966 at the First Reformed church of Hospers for Mrs. Mary De Jong 89, who passed away February 26, 1966. Burial made in the Hospers Cemetery.

Mrs. De Jong was born October 14, 1876, at Newkirk and on April 26, 1899, was married to Conrad P. De Jong. Mr. De Jong died May 27, 1964.

Survivors include the following children: Edythe, Edwin, Phyllis, and Hazel. Twin sons died in infancy. There are eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
She is also survived by one brother and one sister.

Eight brothers and three sisters preceded her, as well as twin sons who died in infancy.
