Surviving are her husband of 20 years, James D. Robertson of Kings Mountain; her son, Gary Loudermilk and his wife of Nebo; two step-sons, James F. Robertson and his wife of Kings Mountain and David A. Robertson and his wife of Howell, MI; a sister, Peggy Blythe of Cary; a grandson, Andrew Thomas Loudermilk and his wife of Nebo; and a great-grandson, Skylar.
∼Mrs. Edith Elliott Loudermilk Robertson, age 92, of Nebo, died peacefully on Saturday, August 30, 2014 at Sunrise Rehabilitation and Care following several years of declining health. Edith was born in Rutherford County on May 18, 1922 to the late Bynum Elliott and Bessie Collins Elliott Clemmons. She was a devoted homemaker and enjoyed tending to her flower and vegetable gardens. Earlier in life, she and her husband enjoyed sailing on Lake Norman. She formerly attended Nebo Methodist Church and will be remembered for her kindness and gentle spirit. Her first husband, John Bradford Loudermilk, a son, John Bradford Loudermilk, Jr., and a grandson, Travis Bradford Loudermilk, preceded her in death.

Robertson and his wife Barbara of Kings Mountain and David A. Robertson and his wife Cindy of Howell, MI; a sister, Peggy Blythe of Cary; a grandson, Andrew Thomas Loudermilk and his wife Brandy of Nebo; and a great-grandson, Skylar.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 3, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Westmoreland Funeral Home in Marion. The family will receive friends from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be in McDowell Memorial Park.
