She was born in Lincoln County WV, a daughter of Travis Elbert "Trab" Stowers and Lena Leola "Linnie" (Willis) Stowers. She was the wife of Homer Adkins. She died of a cerebral hemorrhage in 1945 according to her death certificate. In addition to her husband, she is survived by the following children: Marie Stowers, Mrs. Pete Adkins, and Edward Lee Adkins, all of Amherstdale, WV. Funeral services were conducted at Big Laurel Church at Hager, WV with Rev. Ebb Cummings and Rev. Woodrow Lawson officiating.
