Yvonne Conant Thaxton
February 23, 1922 - August 21, 2014


Yvonne Conant Thaxton was the daughter of Edwin and Luella Conant. She was the second of eight children; George, Steve, Bob, Miriam, Susan, Hollis and Jim. She lived the majority of her life in Eugene, Oregon. Married to Marvin Thaxton who died in 1982, she is survived by daughters Donna Tyvoll, Peggy Schragl (Bert), Polly Westover (Bob), Kay Oxford, Julie Fryer (Dana) and son Mick Thaxton (Sheryl). She is survived by nine grandchildren, and preceded in death by two grandchildren.

Yvonne's passion was to further the gospel of Christ. She taught Sunday school at Willamette Bible Chapel for nearly 20 years. She was also a Child Evangelism Fellowship (CEF) teacher for close to 15 years, in many elementary schools in the Eugene area.

While her husband Marvin was still alive, they used to hunt and camp all over Oregon. Most people will remember her love for Christ, and her independent spirit.
