The youngest of eight children born to Stephen Lafayette Adams and Hily Ann Bratton Adams. She was wife to Joel Rudolph Painter (Married May 11, 1946) and mother to Jerry Lynn Painter, Donna Sue Painter Totty and Sheila Marie Painter McInerney, and "Grandmother", "Gomma" and "Aine" to 9 grandchildren. She fought a courageous eight month battle with brain cancer, but still managed to leave us with wonderful memories of her dry wit and humor!!
