He was one of five children born to this couple.
He married Arderlia "Ardie" P. McCall on November 10th of 1911 in Van Zandt County, Texas.
The couple had at least one son.
He passed away on January 11th of 1963 in Grand Saline, Van Zandt County, Texas.
Update 12/10/2018 : Steven Smith has discovered a missing piece to the Cheser puzzle and deserves a great bit of our gratitude. Ardie Cheser is really Rebecca Drusilla McCall. James E. Cheser was a widower in the 1910 Van Zandt County, Texas Census, living with William S. Farmer and Roxy A. E. Farmer. This means that James E. Cheser had a prior marriage. Interestingly, William and Roxy are from Georgia and Mississippi respectively. These are the same states that James M. Cheser and Francis E. White are from. How did these two families know each other? Did they travel together? Is there a link that may finally break our Cheser brickwall? Also of note is that this James E. Cheser is listed as James Elmer Cheser on a WWI Draft Card in Comanche County, Oklahoma, and on a WWII Draft Card in Van Zandt County, Texas. They were living in Cache, Cotton, Oklahoma in 1920, and in Temple, Cotton, Oklahoma in 1930. These are new places to look for Cheser kin. Regardless, this is new information that all Cheser family researchers should be made aware of.
