"MASSEY

"Edith Butt Massey, 86, 1312 E. Mt. Vernon Street, died Monday, Feb. 1, at her residence after a short illness.

"The daughter of Belty and Lucy Owens Butt, she was born Nov. 30, 1895, in Pulaski County.

"Married in 1914 in Somerset, she was the widow of Hollie C. Massey and was a charter member of the Calvary Baptist Church.

"Survivors are two sons, James Massey, Somerset, and Beldy Massey, Sanford, Fla.; a daughter, Elsie Massey, Somerset; a brother, Clark M. Butt, Eubank; a sister, Mrs. C.P. (Melinda) Scott, Ferguson; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

"A son, Gerald Massey, preceded her in death June 1, 1978.

"The Reverends Richard Donovan and Charles Jenkins will conduct the funeral at 1 p.m. Thursday at the chapel of the Somerset Undertaking Company.

"Burial will take place in the Barnesburg Cemetery.

"Visitation will begin after 5 p.m. today at the Somerset Undertaking Company."
