STANTON KEMP DIES
IN NASHVILLE HOSPITAL

Stanton Kemp, aged 59 years, died at a Nashville hospital on Thursday night of last week, passing away at eight o'clock. Death was attributed to an abscess on the brain, and to a spinal disorder. He was a resident of Nashville and had gone to the hospital two weeks before death came. He is survived by his wife, the former Miss Eva Mabry, and a native of this county; two daughters, Mrs. Harry Miller, of Burkesville, Kentucky; and Mrs. Joe Young Watkins, of Westmoreland; three grandchildren, one half-brother, T. M. Kemp of the Maple Grove section; and his mother, who resides in Washington.

The remains were laid to rest on Saturday afternoon in the Maple Grove Cemetery about two miles north of Lafayette, following funeral services conducted by Elder L. A. Stewart. The deceased was a member of Meadorville Baptist church, near Lafayette, and was a good man. He was a native of the Willette section, the son of Aulsie Kemp. He formerly lived near Lafayette and was first married to Miss Selma McClard, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. A. McClard. She preceded him in death a number of years ago.
