Farris Johnson, 71, died Saturday in a Baldwin County hospital after an extended illness. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. today in Knowles Chapel United Methodist Church in Hancock County.
Mr. Johnson, a native of Hancock County, lived most of his life in Baldwin County. He was a retired truckdriver for the city of Milledgeville. He was a member of Knowles Chapel United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Ruby Johnson of Milledgeville; a son, Ronnie Johnson Of Milledgeville; six daughters, Inez Turner, Dorothy Crawford, Annie Dupree, Linda Robinson and Jean Johnson, all of Milledgeville, and Mable Miller of Sparta; 13 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
