Mary, daughter of Amos McWilliams (1837-) and Louisa Decker, married John Hilts (1842-1920) on Dec. 2, 1882.

She had two sisters: Louisa (1831-) and Julia (1842-).

John and Mary had three children: my grandmother Laura E. (1883-1974), Ida Mae (1885-1961), and Edson Wilbert (1891-1972).

The original cemetery deed is dated June 1, 1892 and was later transferred to Bullerjohn. Mary's grand-daughter, Edna Perry Bullerjohn, is buried next to Mary and John.

Puzzle Pieces: Mary may have been related some way to Raymond McWilliams (1889-1895), because their graves are too close together to ignore the "McWilliams" name coincidence. She may also have been related to Ann McWilliams (1850-1862) because Ann's and Raymond's parents names are Charles and Mary McWilliams; another coincidence that can't be easily ignored.
