Civil War veteran. Greenberry served in Co. L of the 25th Alabama Infantry. He fought in the in & around the fighting in Atlanta & was wounded at the Battle of Peachtree Creek.

After the War, Greenberry & his family moved from Fayette, GA to Benton (later, Calhoun) County, Alabama.
