Lloyd Feather Bliss (age 23), and his
first born child Thelma Celestia Bliss
("about" 4 months of age, born Aug. 13, 1918).
Photo taken around Christmas of 1918.
Note: Lloyd died at the age of 42
(when Thelma was age 20).

Mother, Cecile Gay (Upham) Bliss
(in the middle of the back row),
with four of her six daughters in 1955.

On the far left is Thelma Celestia (Bliss) Letcher.
On the far right is Marguerite Gay (Bliss) Crocker.
On the left in the front row is Kathryn Ann (Bliss) Clemans.
On the right in the front row is Frances June (Bliss) Batchelor.
Note: All four of these daughters worked as telephone operators. Thelma worked at the telephone office in Cassopolis, MI, and then in Dowagic, MI, and the other three daughters worked at the telephone office in Niles, Michigan.
Missing from photo is Cecile's daughter Barbara (Bliss) Huff.
(Daughter Mary Louise Bliss died in 1941, at the age of 20 (almost 21).
Photo taken at the annual Bliss family reunion picnic in the summer of 1955.

Clarence Upham (Clarence died the following summer, in 1956), Nancy Letcher, Ken Letcher, Joanne Letcher, Cecile Bliss, Paul Letcher, and Rayford Crocker.
Adults in front row (left to right) are: Bill Batchelor, his wife Frances (Bliss) Batchelor, Jack Clemans, his wife Kathryn (Bliss) Clemans, Thelma (Bliss) Letcher (her husband Paul is behind her), Marguerite (Bliss) Crocker (her husband Rayford is behind her), and Raymond Upham.
The two children in front (left to right) are: Lois Letcher, and Robert "Bob" Crocker.
(Missing from photo are: Mary Letcher, Connie Crocker, and Tom Huff and his wife Barbara (Bliss) Huff and their eldest child Janet Huff). Photo taken at the annual Bliss family reunion picnic, in the summer of 1955.

Three "Bliss" sisters:
Thelma Celestia Bliss, age about 7 (on the far left), Mary Louise Bliss (on the far right), and the baby in the center is Marguerite Gay Bliss, born July 2, 1924. Picture was taken on the Bliss family farm located on Geyer Road, N.-N.E. of Buchanan, Berrien County Michigan, about 1925.
Note: These sisters were the fourth generation of the Bliss family to live on this Bliss family farm.
See other pictures of this Bliss family farm on the memorials for their Grandfather Milton James Bliss, and for their Great-Grandfather DeBert Bliss (who purchased this farm in 1872).
