Margaret Irene Buckner
Margaret Irene Buckner, 92, of Chattanooga passed away Wednesday, August 20, 2014. She was a member of East Ridge Church of Christ and had retired many years ago from Dupont.
She was preceded in death by her husband, R. L. Buckner; a son, R. L. Buckner, Jr. ; three brothers, Freed (Marjorie) Hicks, David Hicks and Nathan (Pauline) Hicks; sister-in-law, Dean Hicks.
Survivors include her brother, Paul Hicks; sister-in-law, Jean Hicks; nieces and nephews, Perry Mayo, Bill (Ann) Parrot, Lana Hamilton, Kimberly Robinson, Larry Hicks, Gary Hicks, Lisa Whaley, Jan McClendon and David Hicks, Jr.; two special friends, Ray and Linda Russell.
Funeral services will be held at 1 PM Friday at the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home 404 South Moore Road with Minister Charles Cochran officiating. Entombment will be in Hamilton Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 4-8 PM Thursday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to East Ridge Church of Christ or to Martin Boyd Christian Home.
