Final Rites for George Kafka Held Yesterday
Funeral services for George Kafka, who died Friday after a long illness, were held Monday afternoon at the Holland and Bonine Funeral Home, the Rev. Howard Pilcher officiating. Pallbearers were Frank Kocar, Anton Dobry, Frank Nepil, Rudolph Blazek, Joe Jurenka and Joe Pokarny.
George Kafka was born June 8, 1883, in Czecho-Slavakia. He came 45 years ago to the United States and had lived in the Havre community 27 years.
Surviving him are his wife, formerly Josephine Rypal, to whom he was married Aug. 2, 1917, in Havre; a daughter, Mrs. Frank Drga, Jr., of Hopp; and grandson, George Frank Drga; two sons, George J. and Lada J., both of Havre; a brother, John Kafka, at Deertrail, Colo.; and two sisters in Europe.
