Dorothy King was born north of South West City, MO on June 17, 1925 to Earnest Eugene (Jean) and Ann Cook and entered eternal rest August 16, 2014 at Joplin, MO.
Dorothy married Julian King on October 15,1944. From this union came one son David who lives in Warsaw, MO. Dorothy has three grandsons, one great-grandson, two great-granddaughters and one great-great grandson. Dorothy has two surviving sisters Anna Thomas, Anderson, MO and Bonnie Hess, Washington, State; Four brothers preceded her in death; Ora, Robert, Earnest and Clifford also three sister preceded her in death Delora Friend, Beulah Kelly and Ellen Cook and several nieces and nephews. Dorothy worked in the Post Office at Edgerton, KS for Thirteen years. and Dorothy and Julian worked in Yellowstone National Park for six and half summers. Dorothy was a member of the First Baptist Church in Seneca.
Funeral services under the direction of Campbell-Biddlecome Funeral Home, Seneca will be held at 10:00 am August 21, 2014 at the Campbell-Biddlecome Funeral Home, Seneca with Russell Thomas and Rev. Jim Wilson officiating.
In lieu of flowers Memorial Contributions can be made to the First Baptist Church in care of the Campbell-Biddlecome Funeral Home, PO Box 380, Seneca, MO 64865.
