Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Ravenna. The Rev. Martin Egging will officiate.
Harry Curtis was born on July 19, 1916, near Ashton to Albert and Constance (Wolinski) Curtis.
He attended St. Francis Catholic School and District No. 73.
Harry was united in marriage to Mae Smedra on June 28, 1937, at St. Francis Catholic Church in Ashton.
He worked for the State of Nebraska, helping build Lake McConaughy near Ogallala. He also worked for Swift Co. and for Packaging Corp. of America in Omaha for 23 years.
He farmed in Sherman County for 13 years before retiring in 1980.
The couple moved to Ravenna in 1983.
Harry was a past member of the Eagles, Holy Name Society, Sherman County School Board, Extraordinary Minister of the Eucharist, past vice president and president of the Ravenna Senior Center.
He enjoyed gardening, making hook pictures and rugs and taking bus trips and playing bingo.
Harry is survived by two sons, Don and wife, Donna, Curtis of Ravenna and Lavern Curtis of Ravenna; two daughters, Joan Summers of Austin, Texas, and Kathleen and husband, Thomas, Sobetski of Omaha; 13 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
Harry was preceded in death by his wife, Mae; his parents, Albert and Constance Curtis; brothers, Stanley and Ben Curtis; sisters, Genieve Polski, Frances Slobjewski and Verna Kwiatkowski; son-in-law, Duane L. Summers; and granddaughter, Debra Curtis.
