James Harris of Moweaqua,81 father of William Harris,Decatur Superintendent of schools died Friday in the Moweaqua hospital. His death was caused by uremic poisoning. He had been in failing health for some time and his death was expected for several days. His son was with him at the time of his death.

He was for many years a farmer on a farm south of Moweaqua. Last Spring he retired and moved into Moweaqua leaving his other son, Charles to manage the farm.

Funeral arrangements have not been completed.
