Mrs. Anne Adams Harris,86 mother of William Harris,superintendent of Decatur schools died yesterday. She suffered a stroke in July, 1933 from which she had never fully recovered. She was stricken again last Friday. She was a member of the Evangelical church near Moweaqua.
Born in Perry county, Ind, Aug. 28.1852 she was married to James O. Harris Jan. 21, 1876. They came to Illinois in 1889 settling near Moweaqua. Mr. Harris died Nov. 19,1927. She had lived in Decatur for the past 10 years.
She leaves her sons, William,Charles of Decatur, two sisters, Mrs. Dora Sudduth,Fort Wayne, Ind.,Mrs. Nannie Kenrick,Charleston, Mo,brother, Grant Adams,Canalou,Mo. A son Cyrus Harris preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be tomorrow at Dawsons with burial in the IOOF cemetery.
