Arlona McKiddy of Windy Hill Lane, Williamsburg, Kentucky departed this life on Wednesday, June 18, 2014 at the Continue Care Hospital at Baptist Health in Corbin, Kentucky. She was 76 years, 4 months and 13 days of age. She was born on February 5, 1938 in Whitley County, Kentucky to the late Charlie Peace and Verda (Mahan) Peace. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a son, Lawrence Derwin McKiddy; a son-in-law, Michael David Everett; and three brothers, Chester Peace, Vester Peace and Ester Peace.
She is survived by her loving husband, Lawrence McKiddy of Williamsburg, Kentucky; three children, Darlene Hays and her husband Greg, Billie Jean Everett and Marty McKiddy and his wife Melissa, all of Williamsburg, Kentucky; her grandchildren, Makayla McKiddy of Somerset, Kentucky and Brice McKiddy, Sierra McKiddy, Raistlin McKiddy and Tristan McKiddy, all of Oxford, Mississippi; one great grandchild, Raelynn Burton of Somerset, Kentucky; one brother, Elmer Peace of Williamsburg, Kentucky; brothers-in-law, "Peanut McKiddy and his wife Ann of Toledo, Ohio and James McKiddy and his wife Cora, Arthur McKiddy and Eva Lee and Clarence McKiddy and his wife Carolyn, all of Williamsburg, Kentucky; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other family and friends to mourn her passing.
Visitation will after 6:00 P.M. on Friday, June 20, 2014 at the Croley Funeral Home Chapel.
Funeral Services will be at 1:30 P.M. Saturday, June 21, 2014 at the Croley Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jimmy McKiddy and Rev. Ronnie Rose officiating. She will be laid to rest in the McKiddy Cemetery on Coalstone in Siler, Kentucky. Arthur McKiddy, Bob McKiddy, Rev. Jimmy McKiddy, Damon Caskey, James Lee and Doyle Huskey will serve as pallbearers.
Lawrence Derwin McKiddy is her son.
