Adelia Caroline Rogers was born 25 Dec 1809 in St. George Square, Westminister, Middlesex, England to Thomas Rogers and Mary Trip.

She married Stephen King Taylor 19 Jun 1834 in St. Dunstan, Stepney, Middlesex, England. They had all 10 of their children in England. They were: Stephen Nicholas Taylor, 22 Dec 1834; Margaret Taylor, 1 Nov 1836; Emily Taylor, 16 Feb 1840; Elizabeth Taylor, 27 Apr 1842; Sarah Jane Taylor, 16 Nov 1844; Joseph Hyrum Taylor, 16 Mar 1850; Stephan Taylor, about 1852; Margaret Taylor, about 1854.

Adelia, her husband, and their children crossed the plains with the John Taylor Company of 1860. Called the Iowa Company, this company actually consisted of English and Danish emigrants who had settled temporarily in various places in the United States, but especially in Iowa and Nebraska. The company started from Florence, Nebraska Territory, on July 3 with 123 emigrants, 23 wagons, 61 oxen, and 32 cows. John Taylor (not the Apostle and future President, but an early settler in Tooele) was company captain. Jens Peter Christensen was his assistant. Christensen had just spent a year presiding over a Danish branch in Alton, Illinois. On July 16, they had traveled to just west of Eagle Island, Nebraska Territory and on July 26 they were near Ash Hollow. They arrived in Salt Lake City on September 17 with 16 wagons. There had been one birth and no deaths.

Adelia Caroline (Rogers) Taylor died 28 Jun 1885 in Porterville, Morgan, Utah.
