Donald K. Rifenberick, age 62, of Spearfish, SD passed away at Fairview Ridges Hospital in Burnsville, MN, January 3, 2006 after a courageous battle with Anaplastic Cancer.

After graduating in Spartansburg, PA, Don enlisted and proudly served in the United States Air Force. He then resided in Madison, WI as a banker. He moved to Minnesota to pursue a real estate career with Thorp realtors for many years.

Don met his wife Sue and they moved to SD where he started his 15 year career as a very committed and proud assistant manager for Wal-Mart. He cared very deeply for his associates and loved his management team and peer managers.

Don was a wonderful and loving husband, father, and grandfather (PaPa). He had a very keen/fun/intelligent sense of humor. He had a great love for the outdoors, cooking, books, Pepsi and Corvettes. He will be greatly missed by the so many hearts he has truly touched.

He is survived by his wife of 16 years, Susan, children; Sean, Scott, Jon (Tiffany), Ben (Amy), Ian, Tammy (Eric), Katie (Jason), Alison (Jeff), eleven grandchildren; Cole, Carter, Bailey, Brandon, Kameron, Kahler, James, Kason, Kohen, Mary Ann, and Aleyiah, brothers; Danny and David, sister; Peggy, his father-in-law, Gordon, brother-in-laws; Ken (Bev), Paul (AJ), Doug (Mary), and John.

Don was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Lois, mother-in-law, Kathryn and brother Alan.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, January 7, 2006 at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Spearfish with Rev. Kent Stillson officiating. Visitation will be from 3:00 pm until 7:00 pm Friday, January 6, 2006 at the Aldinger Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Spearfish. A family prayer service will be at 7:00 pm at the Funeral Home. Cremation will follow with inurnment to be held at a later date.
