Conrad was born on the south branch of the Potomac River, Virginia, in 1770. Elizabeth (Carbaugh) Huffman, was born in Harrison County, Ky., in June 1798. Conrad was a farmer and came here in 1803, and nearly every year he built boats and took his crops South. He was a scout in the War of 1812, under Gen. Dill, and died June 30, 1862 (incorrect); Elizabeth died July 17, 1884.
