Lawrence Edward Pulsipher, husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend, lived life with an infectious smile and hearty laugh that warmed every heart he encountered. Larry was born May 4, 1940 to Charles Clyde and Melba Ottley Pulsipher. After a recent discovery of bone cancer, Larry quietly returned to the loving embrace of his Father in Heaven on Valentine's Day, February 14, 2013. Larry lived a lifetime of love and service; serving his country in the United States National Guard, serving his fellow citizens as a police officer of the Los Angeles Police Department, and serving his God as a full time LDS missionary to the Norway Mission. His passion for the Boy Scouts of America also produced decades of service and numerous Eagle Scouts, earning him the prestigious Silver Beaver of Scouting Award. His firm testimony of the gospel of Jesus Christ was evident in the countless church callings, assignments, and temple work, which he faithfully fulfilled as he brought others unto Christ. Just as it was here on earth, his beautiful bass voice and talented organ playing will now be joined with the Heavenly choir. His thumbs up, high fives and giant hugs will now be shared with those on the other side as he greets all with kindness, compassion and a fervent resolve to work hard and do right. He is survived by his wife Allyson Johnson Pulsipher, her 5 children, their spouses and her 17 grandchildren; his previous wife Christene Easton, his children Nicole (Stephen), Rebecca, Nathan (Kimberlee), Erin (Matthew), Larena (Jeffrey), Brittany (Cory), Danielle (Ethan) and his 15 grandchildren with 2 soon to arrive; as well as his 5 brothers and 2 sisters. He is preceded in death by his parents and 2 sisters June and Linda. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 23, 2013 at 2:00pm, in the LDS church at 2135 E. Pepperwood Drive in Sandy, UT. Viewings will be held on Friday, February 22, 2013 from 6-8 pm at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 East 10600 South in Sandy, UT and on Saturday from 12-1:30 pm prior to services at the church. Interment will be at Larkin Sunset Gardens in Sandy. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Huntsman Cancer Institute for outstanding services rendered.
