Daughter of Martin VanBuren and Martha Ann McClanahan Meeker. The date of death listed here is speculation. Based on the Adair County Historical Society Cemetery Records of 1980, Clark Cemetery, listed below Clara J. Meeker is the statement "dau. of M.V. & Martha d. 5-23-1873 age 24-8m.-11d." I believe that both this child and Sarah were buried in this cemetery. This child's date of death being 5-23-1873 and Sarah being the daughter whose age is listed as 24-8m-11d. Original source document for the Adair County Historical Society's information appears to be the DAR records of 1915. Unable to date to obtain copies of the DAR records to clarify.
