Sueann ray went to pick up her daughter on the evening of Friday,August 26, 2005 at her estranged husband's house located on Martin Road. Sueann had a later appointment that night to take her daughter to cheerleading practice and she never arrived. Sueann was reported missing three days later once her family discovered she was not answering her cell phone. The same day her van was found abandoned at the Canton Wal-mart off Riverstone Parkway. Her car had been backed into a parking space at the end of the parking lot. For months searches were conducted for Sueann Ray but all access was denied to the property belonging to the property of Quinton Ray's family (Sueann's husband). Approximately 164 days would pass until an informant working with the Georgia Bureau of Investigation led authorities to a shallow grave on adjoining property of the Ray family property which contained Sueann Ray's remains. Exacly an hour later, Sueann's husband, Quinton Ray was charged with murder. Approximately two weeks later, Sueann's father-in-law, Harold Danny Ray was arrested for assisting his son, Quinton, conceal Sueann's disappearance & murder.
Sueann is survived by her six year old daughter, Charity Ray, father Danny Jenkins, and sister Sandy Chasm. A trial and several hearings are pending for those believed responsible for Sueann's death. Her funeral will be held on Friday, March 3, 2006.
