John C. Burket's Death Is Laid To Auto Injuries
John C. Burket of 111 West Pleasant Avenue died at his home late yesterday afternoon. Complications developing from injuries received in an automobile collision Aug. 5 at West Pleasant Avenue and Cannon Street was believed to have caused his death. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Lydia Burket; two sons, Ray Burket, member of the boxing team at Syracuse University, and John Burket; his mother, Mrs. Mary Cathers of Queen, Pa.; a brother, Isaac Burket of Altoona, Pa., and four sisters, Mrs. ?Y Briggle, Mrs. Frank Weyant, Mrs. Wesley Wright and Mrs. Myles ?stein, all of Queen.
Funeral services and burial will take place Saturday morning at Queen, to where M. L. Callahan, undertaker, will take the body. Prayer services will be conducted at 8 o'clock tonight at the home.

PROFESSOR JOHN C. BURKET
Professor John C. Burket, former principal of the Greenfield High School and who formerly taught in this county, died at 5 p.m., on Thursday, at his home in Syracuse, N. Y. after three month's illness.
He was a native of Queen, born Nov. 28, 1876, a son of Samuel and Mrs. Mary Boyer Burket, the former deceased. He was educated in the Bedford County schools and later was graduated from the Lock Haven State Teachers' College.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Lydia Weyandt Burket; two sons, Roy, at home and Earl, of Minnesota; one grandchildren, his mother, who resides in Queen, and the following sisters and brothers, Mrs. T. S. Wright, Mrs. Harry Biggle and Mrs. Miles Hoenstine, all of Queen; Mrs. Frank Weyandt and I. M. Burket, both of Altoona.
Funeral services were held at 2:30 p. m., Sunday at the Greenfield Reformed Church, in charge of the Rev. John G. Grimmer. Interment was made in the church cemetery.
