Gary L Christensen, 77, peacefully passed away at his home in Bothwell, Utah surrounded by his family on August 8, 2014.Gary was born November 24, 1936 in Bothwell, the second child of 4, born to Mary Ellen Watt and James Oscar Christensen. He married Connie Norr on February 6, 1957 in Deweyville. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple June 24, 1983.

He lived his whole life in Bothwell and attended schools in Box Elder County. Gary dropped out of high school his Jr year to help his dad save their turkey business. He later earned his high school diploma, graduating from high school the same year as his little sister Kayla.

Gary spent the early part of his life raising turkeys with his dad. He also leased and ran the Texaco service station for LW Dunn. He drove truck for JD Harris and worked for UDOT as a Foreman for the Tremonton road shed.

He was an EMT and an honorary fireman for the Tremonton fire department. He loved horse races, being a rodeo clown / bull fighter, trap shooting, mountain man, fishing, camping, spending time at the cabin, and helping everyone in need.

Gary was a High Priest in the Tremonton 7th Ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. His church callings included cook specialist on trek. Temple Officiator, Temple Prep class teacher, 2nd Councilor in the Bishopric and served three LDS missions in Chesterfield, ID, Phoenix, AZ, and Deer Park, FL.

He is survived by his wife, Connie, children, Roland (Janet), Plymouth. Janet (Todd) Williams, Bothwell. Jeri (Bret) Reeder, Corinne. 11 Grandchildren, 23 Great Grandchildren. Sister Kayla (Jim) Wayment, West Warren. Brother in law Ronnie Kay, Tremonton. Many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Preceded in death by his parents, brother Deloy, and sister Mable.

Funeral services for Gary will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday August 12, 2014 at the Bothwell LDS church. (10350 W 11600 N). The family will greet friends and family at Rogers &Taylor Funeral Home (111 N. 100 E.-Tremonton) from 6-8 pm August 11 & Tues. from 9:45-10:45 at the church prior to the funeral. Interment, Valley View Cemetery, Bothwell, Utah.
