Eluteria Arrambides Hernandez of Lubbock peacefully departed this life Wednesday, Dec. 22, 2004, in Lubbock, at the age of 77 years, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born Feb. 20, 1927 in Danevang. She married Manuel Hernandez May 23, 1946. They moved to Abernathy in 1947 and lived there until 1953. They then moved to Denver City and lived there for 54 years, and then moved to Lubbock in 2000. Ella devoted her life to her husband and children.

She is survived by her husband, Manuel Hernandez; two daughters, Mary Martinez of Lubbock, and Rosalinda Sisneros of Amarillo; four sons, Robert Hernandez of Fentres, Frankie Hernandez of Houston, Alonzo Hernandez of Denver City, and Luis Hernandez of Baton Rouge, La.; 20 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren. The Hernandez family will celebrate the life of their devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Ella Hernandez, with a rosary at White Funeral Home at 7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 23, 2004.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 24, 2004, at St. Isidore Catholic Church in Abernathy. Interment will follow in the Abernathy Cemetery. Arrangements are under the personal care of White Funeral Home of Lubbock. Ella Hernandez leaves us with a legacy of love that we'll always keep her in our hearts.
