Born in Dittenheim. Daughter of Regina Schiff and Moses Gottlob, sister of Ida Gottlob (Gottlieb). Came to the United States on June 1, 1867 and settled in Manhattan, New York. Her sister, Ida, followed her to New York in December of 1870. Hannchen married Louis Affelder on May 8, 1871, and her son, Morris Joseph Affelder was born February 8, 1872. She died on February 6, 1874, and was buried on February 8. Her husband then married her sister, Ida Gottlob on July 14, 1874.
