Death Record.
Mrs. Mary C. Moore.
Mrs. Mary Calvina Moore, wife of the County Superintendent of Public Schools, J. M. Moore, died at home in this city last Sunday night at 10 o'clock.
Mrs. Moore had been very ill for several weeks, suffering from a complication of rheumatism and grip. She was about forty years of age, having been married about twenty years. Her children numbered six, two of whom passed over the river before. Those living are Jenny Lee, Winnie Davis, Ruth and Esther. Mrs. Moore is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Rogers, and of that family a sister only is left with her parents.
Mr. and Mrs. Moore were married near Woodland, and about that time the deceased became a member of the Christian Church. She was one of those bright, wholesome women who have given the sacred precincts of home its character and beauty. She was a mother and wife truly, one whose devotion was higher and stronger than the ken of man and whose duty was inspired by the love of her Savior. Such a death is indeed sad.
Services were conducted at the First Christian Church Tuesday at 10 o'clock by Elder W. J. Shelburne, after which the remains were escorted to the City Cemetery for interment.
