"Eli Miller, the marshal at Markle, died Tuesday, aged 40 years. He had suffered from hemorrhages for a long time. The deceased leaves a wife and several children."

Eli was married twice. It's an educated guess that after his first wife, Nancy Latson, died and left him with one baby boy that he made the move from the Oak Grove area of Webster Lake to Markle where his mother had numerous Wolf relatives. He remarried to Anna Kate Deweese; his children grew up visiting the relatives around Webster. His first son, William, lived his adult life in Warsaw and is buried there.
Eli and Kate had 3 sons. Grover Cleveland Miller #101086461,
Irvin C. Miller #34347602 and Stanley George Miller # 53584942. Eli's son from his first marriage was William Miller #116928578
