Died -
Suddenly at Cornwallis, on the 17th inst., Mr. Jeremiah Tupper, aged 46 years; his death was caused by a blow to the head from a falling tree, received one week before, while engaged with some others in labouring to extinguish a fire. He had long been a member of the Baptist Church, and was universally esteemed by those who knew him, as an honest man, and a sincere Christian. A widow, five children, and many other relatives, will long and deeply lament their irreparable loss.

Melancholy Accident - On the 10th inst. While Mr. Jeremiah Tupper, jr., was engaged with some others endeavouring to arrest the progress of a running fire, in the western part of Cornwallis, a tree fell on his head with tremendous force. He has lain ever since (4 days) in a speechless and senseless state: small hopes are entertained of his recovery. – Communicated by Mr. Augustus Tupper.
[We deeply regret to learn that the injury received by Mr. T. proved fatal. He lingered but for a few days when he expired, leaving an affectionate family and a large circle of relatives and friends to mourn his loss. – Ed.]
