Funeral Services for James Paul "J.P." Hardcastle will be on Wednesday, August 15, 2012 at 12:30 p.m. in the Cashner Colonial Chapel with Reverend Gene Kendrick Officiating. Burial will follow at Garden Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, August 14, from 5:00 p.m. till 8:00 p.m.
J.P., 73, was born on July 14, 1939 in Converse, Louisiana and passed away on Sunday, August 12, 2012 in Conroe, Texas, after being disabled for the past 21 years due to cardiac and other health problems.
He was preceded in death by his mother and step-father Nora Mae and Tom Eason; his father and step-mother Floyd and Maggie Hardcastle; brother Jarvis Hardcastle and three sisters and their husbands Catherine and Claude Hodnett, Mary and J.D. Walker and Betty and Bill Prewitt.
J.P. is survived by his wife of 51 years Mollie Wells Hardcastle of Conroe; daughter Sheree Diane Stump and husband Mark of Conroe; sisters Jo and Bill Berger of Canton, Ohio and Pat and Troy Nolen of Leesville, Louisiana; sister-in-law Connie Hardcastle of Bossier City, Louisiana; uncle Evon Thaxton of Florien, Louisiana; two aunts Iris Weldon and Bessie Weldon of Florien, Louisiana, numerous other relatives also survive and his special friends Wayne Russell, Wayne Parsley and George Stevenson.
